Professional physical therapy treatments for rehabilitation and recovery
• CONSULTATIONS WITH A PHYSIOTHERAPIST 10-20 MIN
– Mandatory before treatment. During the consultation, the physiotherapist and the patient discuss the problem, after which further procedures are followed. It is mandatory to bring medical documentation to the consultation, if any, so that it can be taken into account. A therapy plan will follow, and short-term and long-term goals will be set.
• MEDICAL GYMNASTICS WITH LOW-INTENSITY EXERCISES 20 MIN
– Low-intensity exercises are designed for acute and painful conditions. When performing the exercises, we get to know the patient’s limits, pain, and the condition that is present. We teach the patient how to more easily overcome everyday challenges, we make them aware of movement and body mobility with respect to the intensity of the pain.
• INDIVIDUAL TRAINING FOR REHABILITATION 40 MIN – SEPARATE
– We decide to do it after overcoming the acute phase of pain or in the later part after surgical rehabilitation, we build general strength and fitness, get to know the limits of the body and often move to a higher level than the person was before. Individual training, in the sense of “maintaining” physical fitness, can be done by all interested age groups with or without diagnoses and/or pain.
• INDIVIDUAL TRAINING FOR REHABILITATION WITH AT LEAST ONE PROCEDURE
PHYSICAL THERAPY – SPECIAL TECHNIQUES
• KINESIOTAPE
– The KinesioTaping method is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process by providing support and stability to muscles and joints without limiting the body’s range of motion. It allows for a wide range of soft tissue manipulations. It is available to all ages. It successfully improves a number of orthopedic, neuromuscular and neurological conditions, relieving pain and lymph edema.
• HVLA iTHRUST JOINT MANIPULATION 15 MIN
– A technique similar to chiropractic. We use high force of small amplitude, for a short duration, in the anatomical range of motion within the joint, all in order to break through the barrier of anatomical tissue restriction. In agreement with a physiotherapist, this is a safe and useful method for certain orthopedic conditions. It is a gentle and very useful skill in working with a wide range of patients.
• DRYNEEDLING 25 MIN
– Treatment for painful conditions of the musculoskeletal system. It is carried out using sterile disposable acupuncture needles. This technique involves inserting needles into focal pain points on the muscle in order to achieve a therapeutic effect. It is carried out mostly once a week, over an agreed period of therapy, due to its prolonged effect. It is a safe and almost painless technique.
• PARTIAL MASSAGE 20 MIN
– Massage as a manual technique serves to relax the targeted part of the body with an emphasis on relaxing the musculature. It is carried out in agreement with a physiotherapist as another tool for the purpose of rehabilitation and achieving an easier and pain-free everyday life.
PHYSICAL THERAPY – PROCEDURES
• ULTRASOUND 10 MIN
– Therapeutic ultrasound is a safe and painless method that offers biological, thermal and mechanical effects. It enables an increase in tissue elasticity, better nerve conduction, an increase in local circulation and pain tolerance, and promotes analgesia. Indications; muscle spasm, myogelosis, muscle ruptures, muscle hematomas, sprains, chronic degenerative diseases, joint contractures, tendon changes, arthritis, ligament injuries, etc.
Contraindications: acute and fresh inflammations, pregnancy, bleeding tendency, febrile conditions.
• ELECTROTHERAPY (TENS/IFS) 15 MIN
– A method of electrical therapy that causes symptomatic relief and pain reduction by stimulating nerve pathways and closing the “door” to the pain mechanism. Depending on the type of current, analgesia can occur immediately after the treatment and has an extended duration. During the therapy, we apply electrodes with a conductor directly to the patient’s skin. Subjective feedback from the patient is required in order to adjust the current strength to a level that is comfortable for him. It mainly causes a tingling sensation in the tissue, without pain or discomfort. It is intended for all acute and chronic painful conditions of the musculoskeletal system, it is harmless and comfortable for the patient. Contraindications; patients with pacemakers, pregnancy, skin diseases, the head and front of the neck area, patients with sensory disorders.
• ELECTROSTIMULATION OF NERVE OR MUSCLE 15 MIN
– A treatment based on the application of electrical impulses with the aim of achieving muscle or nerve contraction, or response. It is mainly used for muscle hypotrophy or atrophy, nerve damage and in conditions after surgery. Contraindications; acute conditions, pregnancy, inflammatory and infectious conditions, wounds, skin changes, pacemaker.
• LASER 10 MIN
Kontraindikacije; pacemaket, juvenilni dijabetes, trudnoća, krvarenja, hipotenzija
