Electrotherapy (TENS/IFS)

Electrotherapy (TENS/IFS) – Pain relief and improved circulation

Electrotherapy involves the application of electrical energy for the purpose of treatment. A scientifically proven type of therapy, which has been on the market for decades, differs in the frequency of the current that is released into the body.

Electrotherapy placement

Electrotherapy enters the body through moistened sponges that serve as a conductor, electrodes are placed directly on the skin and secured with elastic bands, the current is amplified to the subjective feeling of the patient who feels tingling and tingles and does not cause any pain.

Effect – the primary effect is reduction of pain that occurs during the treatment, and has an effect for several hours to several days. The current in the body has a thermal effect, raising the temperature locally in the segment that we are working on. Depending on the type of electrotherapy, it increases nerve conduction, increases and accelerates muscle work and contraction, reduces the activity of sensory receptors, increases local circulation and cellular processes, and accelerates tissue regeneration.

TENS (transcutaneous electro-neuro stimulation)

TENS, a type of electrotherapy, stimulates nerve endings, thereby blocking pain transmission. Most often used for acute and chronic pain, spinal pain syndromes, arthritis, arthrosis, musculoskeletal injuries, postoperative conditions, etc.

Interferential currents

Interferential currents reduce pain, swelling, inflammation, increase local circulation, and promote healing of bone and soft tissue. Application in peripheral circulation disorders, injuries of bones, joints and muscles, rheumatic diseases.
