FAMILY AND EMERGENCY MEDICINE

Neva Gatin dr. med.

NevaGatin, dr. med., is a medical doctor with diverse clinical experience in family medicine, emergency medicine, and public health. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb in 2019. Since January 2024, she has been specializing in family medicine at the Zagreb–Centar Health Center. She completed her internship for medical doctors at the same health center in late 2019 and early 2020, and as a doctor in the T1 team of the Split-Dalmatia County Emergency Medicine Institute, she worked on Hvar during the summer of 2020. Gatin also gained experience in family medicine in the offices of Dr. Sunčana Draganić, Dr. Natalija Granić, and Dr. Darija Cokarić Knezović, as well as at the Split-Dalmatia County Health Center on Hvar. She was a member of the working group of the Croatian Institute of Public Health within the framework of the national program “Living Healthy”, where she worked on the sexual health element from 2017 to 2018. At the beginning of 2022, she was chosen to specialize in orthopedics and traumatology at the Zagreb Clinical Hospital Center, which was confirmed by the official decision of the KBC, and she worked as a resident at the Orthopedic Clinic.

During her studies and after graduation, she expanded her knowledge through clinical internships at the Peruvian Hospital de Emergencias Pediátricas in Lima, at the Department of Infectious Diseases and the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology in Croatia, and at the Spanish Hospital Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Victoria in Malaga. She participated in international congresses, including the Congress of Biomedical Sciences Students in Sarajevo in 2016, where she presented a case of anti-NMDA encephalitis associated with ovarian teratoma. She is an active volunteer; at the Tuškanac Education Center, she held psychology workshops for children with mental disabilities, and from 2014 to 2018, she led the sexual and reproductive health committee at the international medical students' association CroMSIC, and organized educational projects in collaboration with the associations HUHIV, “Sve za Nju” and the Croatian Institute of Public Health.
In addition to working in family medicine, she is continuously educated in the field of aesthetic medicine: she has completed training in PRP/PRF treatments, programs for a holistic approach to the face, advanced amino acid therapy, and basic courses in dermal fillers and Botox. She regularly participates in professional congresses, such as the meeting of the Croatian Association of Orthopedists and Traumatologists dedicated to the rare disease fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva.
